In these times of complexity, turbulence and convergent crises, trees are important role models in our movements for social change. They stand tall in their “leadership” because their roots are interconnected.
Trees are literally holding onto each other - and at this time, we need to do the same - by coming together through community practices like council & ceremony.
In these Open Conversations, you will have the opportunity to:
- feel connected to your personal calling as a unique thread within the web-of-life
- acknowledge & appreciate how you are already showing up for what you care about

Lev Natan, draws deeply from the spiritual wisdom traditions in his work with changemakers - organizational leaders, holistic practitioners and social entrepreneurs - who care deeply about the web of life. Through peer-to-peer leadership councils, coaching, sound therapy (using didgeridoo, tuning forks, vocal practices, flute, singing bowls, and jaw harp), workshops and retreats, his focus is to offer practical and spiritual guidance to intelligently navigate challenges at home, work and in the community.
Listening to the whisper within
How to attune to the voice of your calling
To have a unique calling is to be aware that you have an essential thread to weave into the fabric of the whole.
There is an ancient story that says an angel comes to each one of us in the womb, and tells us our life's destiny. Right before we're born, she taps us on the lip, and we forget everything…our task in life is simply to remember.
In these turbulent times, its a struggle to integrate our personal sense of calling within the larger context of the collective movement towards a viable future.
In this Sacred Conversation, we explore questions that are challenging to ask on your own...
what is my relationship with the idea of having a calling?
What am I being called to remember at this moment in time,
so I can clarify my role
within the collective movement
towards a viable future?
WHat is my "voice of calling" telling me to do,
that will stretch me to my edge?
Sacred conversations begin with a centering practice using sound meditation - native flute, silence and toning. Then, I share the point-of-view to create context for our theme for the month.
At the end of the call, you will feel a clear, embodied connection to your next steps, which will Emerge from a deep alignment with the voice of your calling.
We will create context through by by connecting with the 3 Core Elements of the Medicine Tree's point-of-view:
- your voice of calling - guides the weaving of your unique thread into the fabric of the whole.
- a focus on leadership - being aware of the ways that you show up and demonstrate your commitment to what you care about most.
- a relationship with sound practices - cultivates an ability to walk your talk.
The Medicine Tree Vision also creates context. It is a story of old-growth redwood trees sprouting up all around our beautiful planet, renewing our world through a latticework of coherence. This root metaphor guides our work together by seeing that we each have the potential to stand tall, serve our ecosystem like magnificent old-growth trees. To do this, we need to support each other like the redwood trees do - through an interconnected root system that stabilizes and nourishes the integral Earth Community.
Join us for this Sacred Conversation to connect to the vital energy that grows from a deeper relationship with your calling.
This monthly offering is also a good way to learn about
becoming a member of The Alliance for a Viable Future
or join a Mastermind Council for ChangeMakers.
Fire & Water: The Dance of Masculine & Feminine on the Journey towards Sound Leadership
In the midst of the Me Too Movement, its important to take a conscious and mature look at the relationship between the masculine and feminine. How do we cultivate our natural energies (usually associated exclusively with sexuality) and refine them, responsibly, so we are able to channel this vital force towards relevant service to a viable future?
In this conversation, we will discuss how to balance and integrate polarities such as:
- vulnerability and confidence (as opposed to collapsing & posturing)
- going with the flow and planning your schedule, setting goals and intentions
- compassion and accountability, for self and others

In this Sacred Conversation, we will explore these principles, and how to integrate them into our lives through simple, yet potent practices.
